Inaugurating the Al-Ain University Teaching Hospital in Dhi Qar, the Minister of Education Emphasizes the Diligent Work on Developing the Specialized Services Environment in Medical Colleges in Iraq

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, inaugurated the Al-Ain University Teaching Hospital at the College of Medicine of Al-Ain University in Dhi Qar Governorate.

In his speech during the official ceremony, he emphasized that the inauguration of the Al-Ain University Teaching Hospital will significantly enhance the medical education environment in Iraq and will provide momentum for the diligent work on developing the specialized services environment in medical colleges in Iraq, delivering the direct scientific impact that the community aspires to. He pointed out that these efforts will contribute to finding solutions to challenges and will support the enhancement of the health sector environment in Iraq.

The Minister added that this important achievement is added to the list of accomplishments realized in two years of the Iraqi government’s tenure and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in terms of internationalizing higher education, linking academic programs with global changes, securing the path of the Iraqi certificate, achieving international recognition for the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges, increasing the stock of Iraqi scientific research in repositories, and attracting international students to Iraqi universities.

The inauguration ceremony included speeches by the President of Al-Ain University and the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for the Inspection of University Teaching Hospitals. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, toured the hospital’s corridors, inspecting its medical and technical departments, laboratories, outpatient clinics, operating environment, and educational facilities that provide practical training for students in various medical and health specialties.
