The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed that the success achieved in university institutions within two years is based on the quality of academic programs and keeping pace with the variables of knowledge and the labor market.
This came in his speech during the graduation ceremony of the 31st session of the students of the University of Nahrain, where he explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research works according to its strategic policy, its work perspective and its belief in the stages of integration to develop and grow the scientific and research environment, which was the basis and foundation for accelerating the wheel of universities, their colleges, branches, departments and centers in registering competitive positions in producing published scientific research and leading results in solid global classifications and containers, indicating at the same time that the success achieved in Iraqi university institutions during the two years of the Iraqi government’s life was based on the quality of academic programs and the positive work provided by faculty members and linking outputs to the needs of society and keeping pace with and taking into account the variables of knowledge and the labor market locally and globally.
In his speech, he renewed the implementation of the programs included in the government program and the ministerial curriculum of the Iraqi government and overcoming all challenges and commitment to integration based on a clear vision that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is the sectoral body legally authorized to manage the educational process in all its specializations and has several responsibilities represented by the noticeable increase in the rate of enrollment in higher education institutions and organizing the relationship with the diverse work environment in the public and private sectors, noting that the decisions taken during two years of implementation came in the context of consolidating the culture and concepts of quality in higher education institutions and achieving the highest levels of development in the university environment and enriching and improving performance and supporting scientific, cultural and academic exchange between Iraqi university institutions and their counterparts in the world.
The graduation ceremony for the thirty-first session included a review of the graduates’ processions for the faculties of law, medicine, engineering, science, political science, information engineering, business economics, biotechnology and pharmacy and a procession of members of the college councils and lecturers and a procession of the university council, while official speeches were delivered by the President of Nahrain University and the representative of the graduating students and the ceremony of the unified university section and the distribution of certificates was held.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, concluded the graduation ceremony by honoring the outstanding students and congratulating them on their new anticipated journey, pointing out at the same time that the graduation of this batch of students from Al-Nahrain University gives additional momentum towards preserving the academic reputation of Iraqi educational institutions that have embodied decades of dedication, work, commitment and responsible performance.
