The President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Dr. Khaled Al-Yasiri, visited the headquarters of the Students Sports Club for Football. The visit comes within the framework of providing moral and logistical support to the team.
The team coach, Captain Basem Qasim, the administrative staff and the players expressed their thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the club president, Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, for their unlimited support and interest in the team and their close follow-up of all the club’s teams in various sports, especially football.
For his part, the university president stressed during the meeting that “the Students Club represents the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in sports tournaments,” noting the importance of continuing to support the team and raising the level of Iraqi sports.
Dr. Sabah stressed the need to provide all forms of necessary support to the team in order to achieve distinguished results in the matches played by the club.
Wajid directed the importance of providing the team’s needs, praising the great role played by the club in enhancing the status of university sports and supporting young talents.
All members of the delegation stressed that this support is a great incentive that raises their morale and pushes them towards achieving positive results that befit the club’s reputation and represent the Ministry of Higher Education in an honorable manner.
