The College of Medicine, University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Artistic and Cultural Activities Unit at the College, held a celebration on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Riyadh Thioud Al-Zubaidi, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Ridha Abu Tahin, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashir Aqil Al-Ali, and a large gathering of faculty members, employees and dear students.

The celebration included many distinctive segments that varied between the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a religious lecture by Sheikh Adel Al-Khaikani in which he summarized part of the biography of the Greatest Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, then the speech of the Dean of the College of Medicine in which he shed light on the necessity of following the Sunnah of the Greatest Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and adhering to his teachings and morals, in addition to participating with poems and praises of the Prophet, then short video presentations that reviewed some aspects of the life of the Greatest Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace.

The ceremony concluded with religious and cultural competitions about the life of the Great Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, then distributing appreciation awards to the winners and participants in the competition amidst the encouragement of the audience.
