Master’s Thesis from Karbala Medicine discusses knowledge, attitudes and practices about facial plastic surgeries among a sample of females in Karbala Governorate

A postgraduate diploma thesis in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Karbala discussed knowledge, attitudes and practices about facial plastic surgeries among a sample of females in Karbala Governorate. The thesis submitted by the researcher (Yasser Samir Kazem Muhammad) included the title “Knowledge, attitudes and practices about facial plastic surgeries among a sample of females in Karbala Governorate 2023”

The study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitudes and practices about facial plastic surgery among a sample of females in Karbala Governorate 2023.

The study also found that most of the study participants have high levels of knowledge and medium levels of attitudes about facial plastic surgery, that social media is the primary source of information, and that the personal desire of the participants is the main reason for performing these operations.

There is a need for awareness and education about facial plastic surgery before performing it and performing it by a specialist in the designated place in order to avoid unsatisfactory results and the resulting side effects.
