The delegation of the resident team assigned by the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Schools in Iraq visited Karbala University College of Medicine headed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Kazim from Babylon University College of Medicine and the accompanying delegation of resident team members, which includes professors from medical schools from various universities in Iraq from Baghdad, Basra, Ibn Sina, Dhi Qar, Qadisiyah, Jaber bin Hayan, and Al-Kafeel Universities.
They were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Daihoud Al-Zubaidi, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Bashir Aqeel Al-Ali, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Rida Abu Tahin, and members of the faculty.
The aim of the visit is to obtain full academic accreditation for the Faculty of Medicine at Karbala University.
The visit, which lasts for several days, included a field tour in the corridors of the deanship, departments, branches and laboratories, reviewing documents and files, in addition to viewing the classrooms of the college students, and meeting with students The team also visited the teaching hospitals in Karbala and reviewed the health and training services available, as well as the mechanisms of joint cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine at Karbala University and the Department of Health of the Holy Karbala.
