The president of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel al-Saidi, and the deans of the faculties congratulated the president and members of the Karbala Provincial Council on the occasion of their assumption of duties, as the visit comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the University and the provincial council.
During the visit, Dr. Basem Al-Saidi said that the university has been and continues to be supportive of the province’s projects, and will support the council’s actions aimed at serving Karbala.
Al-Saidi stressed that the University, with its academic and scientific resources, will stand with the local government to promote the infrastructure, in order to show the city the status it deserves.
For his part, the chairman of the Council, Dr. Qasem Al-yasari, said that the council needs the support of Karbala university because of its scientific potential and professional staff contributing to changing the reality of the city, especially as it is the first advisory body that contributes to project planning.
The chairman of the council and its members praised the efforts of the president of the university to improve the university environment by providing green spaces and infrastructure, as well as attention to scientific aspects, stressing at the same time the council’s support for everything that develops the academic side.
