Iraqi universities have registered important competitive positions in the URAP world ranking in its version for the year 2024/2023.
The official website (click here) showed the ranking of (3000) universities around the world, while eleven Iraqi universities strengthened their positions in the ranking, namely the Universities of Baghdad (1262), technological (1671), Babylon (2130), Basra (2164), Nasiriyah (2249), future (2315), Mosul (2362), Kufa (2523), Qadisiyah (2729), Central Technical (2761) and the Islamic University (2836).
The تصنيفap rating in assessing the academic performance of institutions is based on the indicators of scientific articles 21%, citations 21%, the total number of research papers 10%, the total impact of Articles 18%, the total impact of citations 15% and international cooperation 15%.
It is worth noting that Iraq ranked 37th globally after 13 universities achieved competitive positions in the (The Times) rating, while Iraqi universities and colleges recorded their increasing competition in other global rankings, including the Shanghai Ranking of academic Subjects for the year 2023, in which the University of Baghdad appeared within the specialization (Dentistry & Oral Sciences), the QS classification, in which there are two universities, and the Scimago classification, in which there are forty-seven institutions and the (Green Metric) classification, in which the number of Iraqi educational institutions has increased to seventy-four universities and colleges, and the Rur classification, in which there are forty-five Iraqi universities, and the (Webometrics) classification is added to it, which More than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges have registered to attend and compete.
