The Faculty of Medicine, Karbala university organized a training course entitled “theories of how atherosclerosis occurs and its relationship with high fat”
The course was attended by Assist. prof. Dr. Ali Fadel Hashim, Assist. prof. Dr. Rana Majid Hamid, Assist. prof. Dr. Zeinab abdulreda with the aim of clarifying the relationship of high fat and the occurrence of atherosclerosis.
The course topics included a brief history of atherosclerotic disease and its discovery, indicating the types of fats in the circulatory system, how to metabolize hereditary hyperlipidemia, and the role of atherosclerosis, which is one of the causes of strokes, cardiac and cerebral strokes .
