On the occasion of Flag Day .. The minister of education honors the winners of its awards and emphasizes the improvement of quality indicators and the promotion of scientific research

The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, honored the winners of the Science Day Awards in the fields of pure sciences, engineering, medical, agricultural, veterinary, humanitarian, administrative and economic.

In his speech during the honoring ceremony, the minister of Education stressed that the successes achieved by the educational institution hold everyone responsible for continuous development to improve quality indicators and enhance scientific research climates that make universities and academic institutions sustainable service centers that meet all the needs of society and all the requirements of the national labor market.

He pointed out that the coincidence between the occasion of Science Day and the important academic event represented by Iraq achieving the thirty-seventh place in the world in the results of the Times rating indicates a clear indication that the leaping scientific will of this great country is not satisfied with staying still and staying away from the areas of excellence that require more gains in global forums in terms of upgrading the ranks of universities in international rankings and increasing the balance of Iraqi scientific research in the sober global absorbers.

In this context, the director general of the research and Development Department, Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, provided a detailed explanation of the scientific results presented on the Science Day and the most important updates related to the award criteria.

At the end of the Science Day activities, the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, honored the winners of the Science Day Awards, which included distinguished universities, an outstanding research center or unit, an outstanding scientific journal, outstanding scientific research, an author’s book or an outstanding translator, patents, an outstanding graduation project and outstanding volunteer incentive work, as well as those covered by the Higher Education Award for agricultural and Veterinary Sciences.
