The launch of the Science Week between Iraq and Iran with the participation of sixty universities

The work of the Science Week between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran was launched with the participation of sixty universities and institutions from the two countries.

The undersecretary of the ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul Dahad, who headed the delegation of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research in the presence of public and private universities, said that the Science Week between the two countries summarizes the level of understanding and coordination resulting from the agreement between the Iraqi Ministry of higher education and scientific research and the Ministry of science, research and technology in the Islamic Republic and completes the dialogues that took place in the capital Baghdad.

He added that the excellence of the Universities of the two countries in terms of scientific research production and global competition in important classifications makes them worthy to occupy positions referred to in the well-established academic repositories and platforms and opens up more spaces for sharing and cooperation in many fields and understandings on scientific research, development programs and joint cooperation, pointing out at the same time that the Iraqi delegation, which includes a high official representation from the Ministry of education and its universities, indicates a positive indication of interest in developing joint scientific cooperation programs between the Universities of the two countries and achieving the hoped-for level of relations with an effective impact in cultural exchange and scientific expertise And the Academy.

In this context, the deputy minister of science, research and technology for international affairs of the Islamic Republic, Dr. Wahid Haddadi Assal, stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and experiences and formulating scientific understandings in many files, some of which relate to the environmental aspect and joint educational programs, while the president of Ferdowsi Mashhad University, Dr. Mohammad Kafi, explained that the Universities of the two countries are keen on the success of joint discussions and reaching a vision that serves the scientific and research side between the two sides.

The opening events of the Science Week, which lasts until the Twelfth of October, included a number of official speeches, including the speech of the director general of the Department of missions and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, cultural advisers and scientific presentations on the importance of academic education and the level of understanding between Iraqi and Iranian universities.
