The Ministry of higher education and scientific research held a meeting with its counterpart in the Islamic Republic of Iran on the challenges and problems faced by Iraqi students studying at a number of Iranian universities.
The Ministry of education was represented by the undersecretary of the ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul Dahad, in the presence of the director general of the Department of missions and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Bagher Taher, and the cultural adviser, Dr. Yasser Abdul Zahra, while the Iranian side was attended by the deputy minister of science, research and technology for International Affairs, Dr. Vahid Haddadi Asal, the deputy minister of science, research and technology, the chairman of the founder of Student Affairs, Dr. dadash Pur, and a number of advisers.
The participants discussed the procedures related to the admission of Iraqi students and the problems that may arise during the study on the sidelines of the Science Week between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iraqi delegation confirmed its support for the Iranian official course of dealing with the Universities of religions and sects and Azadi Isfahan University and taking into account the sober scientific requirements required by the requirements of the academic environment and the accreditation determinants in the scholarship guide and private expense, while the Iranian side described the decision of the Iraqi Ministry of education as positive on the accreditation of sober universities outside Iraq.
The two sides agreed to organize and update procedures that will overcome the challenges facing Iraqi students and not impose any additional requirements not required by the academic field of study, while the delegation of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research renewed the readiness of Iraqi universities to accept international students within the study in Iraq initiative.
