A dissertation at the Faculty of Medicine, Karbala University examined the role of protein for adhesion in the blood in children suffering from nephrotic syndrome and its importance .
The thesis presented by the researcher ( Ahmed Dawood Salman), which was entitled “vascular adhesion protein-1, selectin and omentin-1 in endothelial dysfunction, included a nanoscale study as a lipid-reducing agent in children with nephrotic syndrome.”
The study aimed to reduce the body’s excretion of a lot of protein in the urine, which was formed as a result of genetic factors and other diseases that affect other parts of the body, infections and medications .some symptoms include the presence of a lot of protein in the urine, low albumin levels in the blood and swelling of the body ( edema).
The study also found that the proposed biomarkers and dyslipidemia were successfully linked in the diagnosis of endothelial dysfunction in children with nephrotic syndrome .Chitosan – Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles have been successfully prepared by covalent bonding of S on Fe3O4 nanoparticles. These microspheres were applied to lipid-lowering processes with the help of a magnetic field.
