A professor from Kerbala medicine participates in the final clinical exam for Arab board trainees in Erbil

Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Ridha Abu Taheen, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, at the College of Medicine at Karbala University, participated in the final clinical exam (AUSSI) for Arab Board study trainees in the specialty of family medicine.

The exam took place in Erbil governorate on June 17 and 18, 2022, with the participation of a group of Iraqi professors and in the presence of professors from several Arab countries from Lebanon, Jordan, Libya and Qatar.

The exam included ten different stations and lasted for two days, with 21 examinees from inside and outside Iraq, while the number of trainees was 48 students from the Arab Board trainees and from various Iraqi governorates.

Abu Taheen told the College’s Media Division: “Passing this exam is the last part of the requirements for the fellowship of the Arab Board of Family Medicine, and the successful ones will obtain the Arab Board Certificate, which is the highest professional certificate in the field of specialization.”

This participation came in view of the scientific and academic standing of the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala and the board centers in Karbala at the level of Iraqi universities.
