A letter from Karbala medicine discussing immune Kinetics in infertile females

The master’s thesis in the microbiology branch at the Faculty of Medicine, Karbala University discussed the role of immune Kinetics in infertile females, where the thesis presented by the researcher (daha Qasem Naama Hassoun), which carried the title “study of immune Kinetics 5, 12, 18 in infertile females :correlation with the level of fertility hormones, egg maturation and fetal development in the IVF and ICSI cycle”

The aim of the study was to evaluate interleukin (IL-5), interleukin (IL-12) and interleukin (IL-18) in follicular fluid and serum and to study the relationship between these markers and the results of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

The study also found that there was no significant difference between the groups regarding the levels of cytokines in the follicular fluid and serum, except for the high level of IL-12 in the follicular fluid and serum of male factor patients compared to patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and poor ovarian reserve (POR).
