Students from the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala participated in the first volunteer conference at the University of Baghdad for 2025.

Under the supervision of the President of the University of Karbala and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Khalid Khalil Al-Araji, and with the follow-up of the Student Activities Division/Volunteer Activities Unit at the college, a number of medical students participated in the first volunteer conference to honor outstanding student volunteer teams. The conference was held at the University of Baghdad under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The College of Medicine at the University of Karbala was represented by second-year students Hussein Muaz Hassan and Duha Haider Abdul-Amir. Their participation aimed to promote the spirit of volunteerism and instill a culture of giving and social responsibility among students.

This participation reflects the Ministry and the University’s commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives and developing students’ skills in volunteer and service-oriented fields, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education’s directives to support such activities.
