Laboratory Bacteriological Diagnosis

Introduction: Microbial infections are associated with human diseases, therefore it is important that diseases caused by these organisms are diagnosed accurately. Collection of appropriate samples in a correct and timely manner is fundamental to determining the causative agent. Furthermore, transportation of samples to the laboratory must ensure that the agents survive and can be identified by different laboratory methods. Objectives: 1- Identification the different types of pathogenic microorganisms 2- Determination the Principles of sample collection from different human body sites such as blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, upper and lower respiratory tract. 3- Determination of specific Media for transportation of specific pathogens. 4- Identification the Macroscopic inspection and Microscopic examination of their samples. 5- Identify the different cultures media that are used for cultivation of different microorganisms. 6- Identify the different biochemical tests that are used for diagnosis of different microorganisms.
