The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, honored more than a hundred personalities from the winners of the Iraqi eye University Award in its fourth edition for the year 2024, which included pioneering researchers, early universities, high-impact research authors, author books and distinguished academics.
This came during the honoring ceremony, which was attended by a gathering of Deputies, vice presidents, university presidents, general managers, teaching and researchers, where the minister of Education stressed in his speech the importance of scientific research in addressing development problems, pointing out at the same time that the Ministry of higher education and scientific research has set a strategic goal for its institutions related to the quality of the academic environment, supporting the publishing space in sober journals, establishing global partnerships with international publishing institutions, launching open accounts for teachers, researchers and students at scopes, and adopting a successful policy and decisions to stimulate scientific research through direct material support and the establishment of scientific laboratories Centralization.
He added that the ministry places scientific research at the top of its priorities, pointing out that this vital field represents a key axis in the development of services and achieving comprehensive progress, and that the decisions taken and the policy adopted in this path develop the incentive to produce qualitative research and encourage innovation and development in order to serve the community.
The honoring ceremony included speeches and a presentation by the undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Haider Abdul Dahad, the president of the Iraqi eye University, Dr. Shafiq Shaker Shafiq, the representative of the Elsevier Foundation, the representative of Iranian universities and the representative of Malaysian universities, while the event concluded with honoring the heads of universities whose institutions have achieved a positive indicator in the field of scientific publishing.
