I discussed a scientific thesis for master’s research in the College of Medicine, University of Karbala, and on Al-Huda Hall, entitled

(A study of polymorphisms of the macrophage-blast attachment gene as an indicator of postmenopausal osteoporosis and its relationship with the bone alkaline phosphatase enzyme) by student Hussein Ali Hussein Alwan

The study examined that osteoporosis is a growing global health problem, with the highest incidence rates among postmenopausal women.

Osteoporotic fractures are associated with higher rates of morbidity, increased risk of death, and a significant economic impact. Osteoporosis is a typical skeletal disorder characterized by a decrease in bone mass, which leads to decreased bone strength and an increased risk of fracture.

The aim of this study is to investigate the association of polymorphisms of the macrophage attachment gene with tumor-associated osteoporosis in postmenopausal women in Karbala governorate, to determine the alkaline phosphatase enzyme in osteoporosis serum, and to compare it with a group without osteoporosis.

After the student, Hussein Ali Hussein, was able to defend his research, the supervising committee decided, after consulting in secret, to grant him a master’s degree with distinction, which was formed under the chairmanship and membership of:
