On Thursday, August 8, 2019, at one and a half hours, an important historic meeting was held involving a number of experts in the biochemistry of Iraqi medical colleges and heads of biochemistry branches in more than half of the medical colleges in Iraq at the Medical Education Hall in the College of Medicine – University of Baghdad. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Shalaji, Dean of the College attended as part of this meeting which is being held for the first time. Dr. Hadaf Al-Yaseen gave a lecture on the technical, administrative and practical aspects of the curriculum system that the Ministry committed to implement from the beginning of the next academic year. Prof. Dr. Fadhel Jawad Al-Tohmeh from the Faculty of Medicine – University of Karbala and the rapporteur of the Committee of Experts also gave a lecture on the importance of unifying the views of the mechanism of application of the proposed curricula and their scientific significance, which will be applied from the beginning of the next academic year. It will be submitted to the ministry, as well as agreeing on a final version of the biochemistry courses that are in line with the directions of medical studies in the medical colleges.
