The Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control granted Iraqi patents to Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussien Sadek, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, entitled “Preparation of ointments containing amphotericin B and clotramazole antiseptics to eliminate the vital synthesis of Candida albicans for the year 2018.
The patent included the detection of the pharmacological efficacy of antibacterial drug donors that could be used to eliminate the biofilm biomass of the Candida albicans grown on the surface of the Denture Alternatives samples from the lost teeth in the mouth that generate the disease associated with the team-related oral infection. The therapeutic efficacy of the ointments against the biomass biomass found on the prepared industrial kit was examined. Antimicrobial ointments showed a high inhibitory effect (100%) against Candida albicans and a short treatment period. Ointments retained their structural and physical properties when exposed to various physical conditions, as well as their ability to remain unaffected by bacterial contamination during the storage period.
