During this meeting, views, problems, solutions and proposals for the new trainees were exchanged, which included meeting the aspiration of future physicians to enhance their experience in their field of work and the role of the Deanship in enriching and refining experiences through experiences and practice of competent and experienced persons, clarifying the foundations of the curriculum, mechanisms and training and evaluation systems followed in the college Within the integrated medical educational curriculum that the college has been planning for ten years. It was also agreed to hold educational workshops (weekly) on the foundations and principles of integrative medical education to be held at the college under the supervision of professors specializing in this field to develop the educational skills of trainers.
The Dean touched on highlighting the educational role and the relationship between the health reality and education, and getting acquainted with all developments in the new education in light of the Corona pandemic through changes in the pattern of education and its implications for the acceptance of the student at the present time.
While this initiative is the first of its kind at the level of Iraq, which was pursued by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Karbala in terms of using newly graduated doctors to train the large enemies of the students, which exceeds the capacity of the faculty by several times, and also the lack of preparation of professors for the staff of the faculty has contributed to the exacerbation of the problem Student training. . It is hoped that the rest of the faculties will follow the example of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Karbala in addressing this problem.
While the Dean heard all that is going on in the students’ ideas and desires to develop and achieve the required level to increase their cognitive and medical skills, especially in the field of skill laboratories and modern learning, and that the college’s desire to embrace them even after graduation to benefit and practice their work in the college’s laboratories and prepare them for the new medical reality
