The Library is a fundamental pillar in the educational process and attention and development of it is one of the basic objectives of the college. Faculty of Medicine Library The University of Karbala is one of the most reliable scientific libraries in the world. It started with the development of the college in all its different aspects, and the other faculties and buildings from the scientific buildings and departments until it reached it now, it took upon itself to provide all the sources and modern medical information in various medical specialties. Its pioneers are professors, researchers and students who contain a large number of medical scientific curricula and well-known authors in the field of medicine and education, amounting to more than (2000) books, which constitutes an important link from the student’s return to benefit when obtaining the largest amount of information .
The sources were placed in the form of terraces and were organized, indexed, classified and arranged on shelves to facilitate searching for them directly and retrieving them in the shortest possible time. The arrangement was also adopted within the context of its medical specialization.
Faculty of Medicine Library University of Karbala on books donated and valuable books have been purchased from various scientific bodies and medical universities with the continuous efforts of the Deanship of the College to always strive to fill the student’s need to support all in raising the level of scientific in the field of medicine and provide the library with different books Arabic and English related to the disciplines taught in In addition to the periodicals and journals that benefit the students in the college, which contribute to raising the student’s awareness culturally “scientifically” also includes a set of magnetic disks that benefit the ease of access to information and download the required resources and the task to raise and absorb material for the student.
The library hall was equipped with a number of chairs for nine hundred students, desks and lighting. It was also equipped with cooling, heating and wall-mounted walls in a manner that suggests elegance and quality. The number of visitors to the library is 20 to 25 students, including professors and teaching staff, open throughout the work period and for all college students. Each student can borrow in accordance with the standards and the source is returned two weeks after the date of receipt of the book.
